The strut's wheel-proximate location also maximizes effectiveness of the 3.3 Fast Adjust compression adjustment.

Inverted dampers use the damper body as the upper strut shaft, with load-bearing components housed in a massive lower housing at the steering knuckle — the same technology found on Dakar and WRC cars built for the world's harshest conditions.
